Ring Sizing

Find your size,
with certainty.

Asl rings are wide, substantial bands, cast with intentional weight. This guide takes you from a finger you have never measured to the exact size to order. No prior knowledge needed. No guesswork left behind.

Why it matters
A wide band fits closer than a slim one
The Short Version

Three steps to the right fit.

Every ring is made to order over ten to twelve weeks, and sizes cannot change once production begins. A few careful minutes now is the whole difference.

i

Measure

Use any method below. The paper strip takes two minutes and needs nothing but paper and a ruler. Prefer certainty? A jeweller is the gold standard.

ii

Apply the rule

Asl bands are wide, so they sit closer to the finger. Our sizing rule turns your raw measurement into the correct whole size to order. The size finder does this for you.

iii

Order with confidence

Once you have your size, you are ready. If anything feels uncertain, we would always rather you ask first. We answer every sizing message personally.

Instant Size Finder

Tell us what you know. We do the rest.

Enter a measurement or your usual size. We apply the Asl sizing rule and return the exact size to order, with the reasoning shown clearly. This is the fastest way to confirm a fit.

Your measurement

What would you like to enter?

Pick whichever you have. Circumference from the paper strip is the most reliable at home.

mm
Wrap a 10mm paper strip snugly around the base of your finger, mark the overlap, and measure the length in millimetres.

Important · Read Before Ordering

Our rings are wide bands. Please size up.

Every Asl ring is a wide, substantial band, significantly heavier than a typical fine jewellery piece. Heavy bands fit tighter than slim ones at the same nominal size, because the wider surface grips more of the finger and flexes less over the knuckle.

Asl rings are produced in whole US sizes only. To ensure a proper fit on a wide band, please follow the rule below.

The Asl Sizing Rule
  1. Measure your finger using any method on this page.
  2. If you land exactly on a whole size, order one size up.
  3. If you land between two whole sizes, order the larger of the two. Do not size up further.
For example: if you measure at a 7, order an 8. If you measure between a 7 and an 8, order an 8.
The Conversion Chart

Every size, side by side.

We list US size as the primary reference, paired with the UK letter and millimetre measurements. Diameter is the inner width. Circumference is the inside loop.

7 N ½ 17.3 mm0.68 in 54.4 mm2.14 in 54

Four Ways To Measure

Choose the method that suits you.

Any of these will give you a measurement to enter into the size finder above. They are ordered from most to least accurate.

i

The Jeweller

Most Accurate

Visit a local jeweller and ask for a wide-band fitting. A calibrated mandrel accounts for width, temperature, and knuckle shape in one sitting.

ii

A Ring You Own

Best at Home

Measure the inner diameter of a band that already fits, straight across the widest point. Enter it under Inner diameter, or use our on-screen tool.

iii

Paper Strip

Reliable

Cut a strip of paper 10mm wide. Wrap snugly around the base of the finger, mark the overlap, then measure in mm. That is your circumference.

iv

String or Floss

Fallback Only

The least accurate method. If nothing else is available, wrap non-stretchy string around the finger, mark, and measure. Always lean larger.

Two Tools To Help

No ruler, no jeweller, no problem.

Both tools below give you a measurement you can drop straight into the size finder. Each begins with a quick calibration so the result is true to life.

Tool One

Print your own ring sizer

A paper strip that prints true to size, with a built-in calibration bar so you can confirm your printer scaled it correctly before you measure.

Before you print

Set your printer to 100% scale (not Fit to page). After printing, check the calibration bar against a bank card, which is 85.6mm wide. If it matches, your measurements will be accurate.

Opens your print dialog. The rest of the page will not print, only the sizer.
Tool Two

Measure a ring you own, on screen

Calibrate the screen with a bank card, then size the circle to match the inside of a ring you already wear. We read the diameter and find your size.

Step 1 · Calibrate your screen

Hold a bank card against the box below and drag until they match exactly in width.

Step 2 · Match your ring
Inner diameter 18.2 mm
Place the ring flat against the screen and match the dashed circle to the inside edge of the band. This is an approximate guide. If the size finder flags a borderline result, confirm with us before ordering.
Details That Matter

Small habits, accurate results.

Measure in the evening

Fingers swell gradually through the day. An early-morning reading is the smallest you will ever be. By evening, you are closer to your true size.

At body temperature

Cold fingers shrink and warm hands expand. Measure after a few minutes indoors at normal temperature, never straight out of cold air or after exercise.

The correct hand

Your dominant hand is usually a quarter size larger. Measure the exact finger on the exact hand where your Asl ring will be worn, every time.

Mind the knuckle

The ring must pass over the knuckle without force. If your knuckle is noticeably larger than the base, choose a size between the two, leaning larger.

Measure three times

On three occasions: morning, afternoon, evening. Take the average. This is the method professional jewellers use to remove daily variation.

Between two sizes, go up

Always. A slightly loose ring is livable. A ring that cannot pass the knuckle is not. This applies especially to wide bands like Asl pieces.

Still Not Certain?

We would rather you ask first.

Because every ring is made to order, a confirmed size matters. Send us your measurement and the finger you intend to wear it on. A member of our team will confirm your size personally before you order.
